ANYTHING BUT FLAT! From the surface into the room”

The exhibition “Anything but flat! From the surface into the room” shows how complex – sometimes in the truest sense of the word – the conquest of space is. The artists deal with the transition from flat surfaces to three-dimensionality in a multifaceted way. The canvas itself becomes a relief, sometimes through cuts, sometimes through over-tensioning. Overlays, collages, sculptures, interplay of volume and omission, positive and negative forms – the eye has a lot to discover, our perception is challenged.

The group exhibition with works from the Siegfried and Jutta Weishaupt collection will feature works by Lucio Fontana, Enrico Castellani and Imi Knoebel, among others. The opening is on October 13, 2024.
